There are three differentiated booklets on Bonfire Night safety, which covers how to handle sparklers, fireworks and bonfires and is aimed at KS1 children. Each booklet has a title page with useful words followed by four pages of information with questions on each page. There are a range of ‘what,’ ‘how,’ ‘where’ and ‘why’ questions. There are also multiple choice questions, true or false questions and some that require more detailed answers. The higher and middle ability booklets each have 13 questions in total. This is a set of three lesson plans to teach children about the fun Jewish holiday of Purim. It is suitable for ages 4-7. The plans are very detailed (9 pages plus resources). These lessons could be taught at any time of the year. Lesson 1 contains a brief overview of Judaism and Purim. Lesson 2 focuses on the story of brave Queen Esther. Lesson 3 teaches the children about how Jewish people celebrate Purim. Each lesson starts with a carpet session. The children then split into five groups for activities. These include drawing, storytelling, dressing up and crafts. Across the three lessons the children have the opportunity to do all of the activities. The plans could be combined into one lesson with the children only doing one or two activities. There are three differentiated levels of objectives.
